Potato Garden

An old man lived alone in Idaho. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Bubba, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.

Dear Bubba,
I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me. Love Dad

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Dad,
For heaven's sake, dad, don't dig up that garden, that's where I Buried the BODIES. Love Bubba

At 4A.M. the next morning, F.B.I. agents and local police showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It's the best I could do under the circumstances. Love Bubba.

The Lake....

....Well this is the second weekend that we have gone up there. It is only about a one hour drive there so not too bad. Next month is Joey's vacation so we are going for at least 4-5 days. I can't wait! It is so beautiful there!! So peaceful even when you have kids hanging on ya. The most annoying thing is the bees trying to eat lunch with you! haha I can't wait to go back. Though this last time really did a number on my heel. I have been having trouble on and off, just a little bit of pain really for like a month now. But boy did it sure act up saturday! I was fine all day but when I woke up sunday morning I had to hobble to the bathroom it hurt so bad! I spent part of the day in bed and Joey wrapped it in a hot towel and I just tried to stay off it. He chased the lkids around and took care of dinner so that was great! I am feeling much better today and am going to go for my walk today Probably around 4:00

Busy Week...

...Well after years of running boards I decided to branch out and get my own domain. With some help and advice from a dear friend. It is getting done and I am having alot of fun. Having your own domain gives you so many more ways to be creative and express yourself! We moved the board and it's nice to have it where it is truly ours and not just like you are just one more board on someone elses domain. There are alot of thing I want to do with the website. Some things I can do and know how, then other things I have to ask for help. I know Rome wasn't built in a day so I am patient. Meanwhile I am enjoying trying different things and putting it all together.

My smoothie recipe.....

Okay now alot of times instead of grapefruit, we throw in like 1/3 rd to 1/2 of pineapple depending on the size. I am trying to switch to having grapefruit more often though so have mainly been doing that lately. I am going to pick up regular grapefruit at the store but I had originally tried getting Joe to drink the grape fruit juice but he experimented and put it in the smoothie instead. Now I don't NORMALLY recommend using any juice bought at the store, only fresh squeezed because most of the time the fruit loses most of it's original potent minerals and vitamins when it is extracted. (other long story) plus all the crap they add into it with preservatives etc to infinity. But for now we have grape fruit juice left in the fridge so we will use it up. The reason I originally bought it for Joe was because he said he would try the juice because it does have excellent benefits for smokers. The fruit page I read about that on mentioned specifically "grapefruit juice" in helping to prevent cancer so etc..................

8 oz of grapefruit juice OR 1 whole grapefruit
2 bananas
8 strawberries
20 tiny blueberries
2 apples
2 oranges

(makes like 36 oz so usually Joe and I will split that up between us)

If you have a bigger blender I would recommend trying 16 oz of the grapefruit juice since 8 oz is one adult serving. When I get the grapefruit I will just use a whole one since a serving for that is half I believe. Anyhow...enjoy!!!
